Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Development): NO ACTIVITY AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN 1984
Comment (Deposit): AT THE NORTHERN WORKINGS, A 40 CM WIDE MASSIVE TO RARELY VUGGY QUARTZ VEIN CUTS FLOW-BANDED (LOCALLY) METARHYOLITE-. THE VEIN CONTAINS LIMONITE GOSSAN BUT ONLY RARE REMNANT PYRI-TE WAS NOTED. THE WALLROCK NEAR THE VEIN IS SOMEWHAT ARGILLIZE-D FOR A SHORT DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE VEIN. NEARBY KOIPATO IS A- LITHIC VITRIC WELDED TUFF. THE QUARTZ VEIN ATTITUDE IS N30E, -65 NW. AT THE SOUTH WORKINGS, MASSIVE TO RARELY VUGGY MILKY QU-ARTZ VEIN MATTER OCCURS IN VEINS IN A MASSIVE MEDIUM GRAY LIME-STONE OF THE PRIDA FM. THE ATTITUDE OF THE VEIN OR VEINS WAS N-OT DETERMINED. VEINS CONTAIN LIMONITE, MALACHITE, RARE AZURITE- AND CHALCOCITE.
Comment (Workings): SHAFTS AND ADITS OVER NEARLY 1 KM. MOST DUMPS SMALL, WORKINGS SHALLOW.
Comment (Location): SE OF LITTLE JUPITER MINE. UTM IS TO SAMPLE SITE 2352 AT SOUTHERN WORKINGS.
