Comments

Comment (Location): S 1/2 OF S 1/2 OF SEC 6; E SLOPE PUEBLO MTS.

Comment (Development): NO ACTIVITY IN 1984.

Comment (Deposit): MR. JACK DAVIS WHO LIVES AT THE MINE (1984) REPORTED THAT THE ORE WAS IN NARROW SEAMS OPENING INTO POCKETS OR VUGS CONTAINING GOLD. MANY OF THE SEAMS ARE FRACTURE-FILLING OR VEINLETS, BUT OTHERS ARE CLEARLY FAULT CONTROLLED AND PROBABLY GENETICALLY RELATED TO THE GRANITES. SAMPLE 2981 WAS FROM A NEWER EXPOSED PORTION OF THE MINE IN WHAT MUST BE A MINOR VEIN SYSTEM.

Comment (Workings): 7 ADITS (UP TO 490 FEET LONG) AND OTHER WORKINGS.

Comment (Geology): VEINS ARE 2 TO 6 FEET WIDE; VEIN FILLING IS ALTERED ANDESITE AND QUARTZ

Comment (Deposit): A GROUP OF 7 CLAIMS OWNED BY THE DEFENBAUGHS IN THE 1930'S. IT WAS DISCOVERED IN 1894 BY ROBERT DENIO, AFTER WHICH IT WAS ACQUIRED BY J. COWDEN & ASSOC. WHO ORGANIZED THE NEVADA KING MINING CO., WHO BUILT A MILL, TREATED ORE & DID CONSIDERABLE DEVELOPMENT WORK. DEVELOPMENT CONSISTED OF 7 ADITS (UP TO 490 FT. LONG) AND OTHER WORKINGS TOTALLING SEVERAL THOUSAND FEET. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
