Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Location): PINE FOREST RANGE
Comment (Geology): LENSES, PODS, VEINLETS, AND SINGLE CRTALS OF STIBNITE ARE FOUND ALONG THE SHEAR ZONES, COMMONLY WITH QUARTZ. STIBNITE IS DISSEMINATED THROUGH THE WALLROCK WITHIN TWO INCHES OF THE SHEAR ZONE. ORE SHOOTS OCCUR AT INTERSECTIONS OF SHEAR ZONES WITH CROSS-CUTTING FAULTS. LOCALLY, THINWALLED BOXWORKS OF QUARTZ AND YELLOW ANTIMONY OXIDES HAVE FORMED AROUND GRAINS OF STIBNITE, AND LIMONITIC BOXWORKS ALSO MAY BE PRESENT. PSEUDOMORPHS OF LIMONITE AFTER STIBNITE OCCUR. QUARTZ VEINS 4-10 FT. WIDE CROSS-CUTTING AND PARALLEL TO CONTACT: VEINS DIP INTO CONTACT.
Comment (Deposit): OWNED IN 1957 BY HARRY PURDY. IN 1927, 30 TONS OF ORE (50 % SB) WERE PRODUCED; IN 1928, AN $800 ORE SHIPMENT WAS MADE. IN 1941, 1.5 TONS ORE (41 % SB) WERE PRODUCED. IN 1942, 2 TONS OF 54 % SB ORE WERE PRODUCED AND LATER IN 1942, 5 MORE TONS ORE WERE PRODUCED. MINE DEVELOPMENT CONSISTS OF 4 ADITS AND 2 SHAFTS, OPEN CUTS. IT CONSISTED ORIGINALLY OF 5 DE CLAIMS AND 2 MILL SITES, AND WAS BEING PROMOTED IN 1906 BY AMERICAN SECURITIES. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT
Comment (Development): STY BO CLAIMS LOCATED BY THE CLARKS IN 1970. AREA IS JUST OUTSIDE THE PROPOSED BLUE LAKE PRIMITIVE AREA.
