About the MRDS Data:
All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Location): EXACT LOCATION UNCERTAIN.
Comment (Deposit): LENSES AND STRINGERS OF PYROLUSITE ALONG BEDDING IN SILICIFIED CHERT AND ARGILLITE. N20W VERTICAL SHEAR ZONE CUTS -N20E BEDDING, N20E STEEP FRACTURE ZONE. MANGANESE OXIDES AND B-LACK TO BROWN JASPEROID APPEAR TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE NW ST-RUCTURE AS MOST BEDDING REPLACEMENT OCCURS ALONG IT; ROCK IN A-REA OF STRUCTURAL INTERSECTION LACED WITH SILICA VEINLETS. MAS-SIVE PODS OF JASPEROID OCCUR IN EAST WALL OF PIT; SOFTER, GOSS-ANY MNO REPLACEMENT ALONG BEDDING TO WEST OF JASPEROID. IT IS -POSSIBLE THAT THE JASPEROID FORMED ALONG THE STEEP FAULT INTER-SECTION. CRYSTALLINE PYROLUSITE COATS FRACTURES IN JASPEROID; -ROCKS IN DUMPS APPEAR TO BE MASSIVE PYROLUSITE, BUT ONLY SURFA-CE COATING IS PRESENT.
Comment (Workings): 20-FT BY 20-FT PIT, LOADING RAMP, CUTS, BUILDING RUINS.
Comment (Geology): MANGANESE OXIDES PARTIALLY REPLACE CHERT BEDS INTERBEDDED WITH QUARTZITE
