Comment (Deposit): THE MINE IS DEVELOPED BY TWO ADITS AND ABOUT 2000 FT OF UNDERGROUND WORKINGS ALONG A STEEPLY DIPPING NORTH-STRIKING VEIN IN QUARTZ MONZONITE. GOLD WAS DEISCOVERED HERE IN 1916. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT

Comment (Development): IN 1916 JOHN CAHILL DISCOVERED HIGH-GRADE GOLD ORE, AND THE NEVADA BIRCH CREEK MINING CO, WAS ORGANIZED IN 1919 TO CARRY ON DEVELOPMENT WORK.

Comment (Workings): DEVELOPMENT INCLUDES 2 ADITS, THE LONGEST 475 FT IN LENGTH. THERE IS NO MINING OR MILLING EQUIPMENT ON THE PROPERTY.

Comment (Geology): THE VEIN CONTAINS GOLD AND SOME SILVER IN QUARTZ. THE PREVAILING ROCKS IN THE VICINITY ARE ANDESITE, HYOLITE, AND GRANODIORITE (?).
