Comment (Deposit): SCARLET, EARTHY CINNABAR IN LIMY SHALE AND LIMESTONE; THE ORE IS IN REPLACEMENT BODIES AND ALSO CONTAINS STIBICONITE, VALENTINITE, QUARTZ, CALCITE, SPHALERITE, CALAMINE AND BINDHEIMITE.

Comment (Workings): INCLINED SHAFT CAVED ABOUT 10 FT DOWN, AND THREE LEVELS FROM SHAFT. THE INCLINED SHAFT WAS 70 FT DEEP AND THERE WERE ABOUT 120 FT OF DRIFTS AND CROSSCUTS

Comment (Geology): THE HOST ROCKS ARE CRUSHED AND SHEARED BECAUSE OF THEIR PROXIMITY TO THE CINNABAR CANYON THRUST FAULT AND A LATER NORMAL FAULT.
