About the MRDS Data:
All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Analytical Data
Analytical Data: SAMPLES AT LOWER EXPOSURE OF INTRUSIVE SHOW 1.70% CU TO 27% IN CARBONATE ZONE
Materials
Ore: Scheelite
Ore: Malachite
Comments
Comment (Deposit): TUNGSTEN MINERALIZATION OCCURS IN TACTITE IN LIMESTONE. THE LOWER EXPOSURE OF THE INTRUSIVE IS MINERALIZED WITH COPPER IN FORM OF OXIDES AS WELL AS MINOR AMOUNT OF PYRITE. GRADE OF CU INCREASES IN CARBONATE ZONE.
Comment (Development): 3 PATENTED CLAIMS CALLED THE BLUE JACKET #1 & #2, AND THE COPPER JOHN. THE MINE WAS ORIGINALLY LOCATED AND WORKED FOR SCHEELITE. ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS WERE LATER MADE TO INCLUDE THE COPPER MINERALIZED ZONE.
Comment (Workings): NUMEROUS SHAFTS, PITS, ADITS, AND CUTS ALONG WITH SHALLOW DRILLING
Comment (Geology): LIMESTONE IS INTRUDED BY QUARTZ MONZONITE PORPHYRY THAT STRIKES 4W AND DIPS 15S. LOWER EXPOSURE OF THE INTRUSIVE IS 400 FT. WIDE. VOLCANIC TUFF OVERLIES THE SOUTHWEST EDGE OF THE INTRUSION. QUARTZ ANDESITE IS PRESENT LOCALLY.
