Comment (Deposit): FAULT ZONE MINERALIZATION. BOTH FAULT ZONE AND FOOTWALL HAVE BEEN SILICIFIED AND LENTICULAR ORE BODIES OCCUR ALONG THIS ZONE

Comment (Workings): 50-FT INCLINED SHAFT AND A CONNECTING DRIFT ABOUT 150-FT LONG.

Comment (Geology): THE DEPOSIT IS LOCATED ALONG A NORTHWEST TRENDING FAULT ZONE THAT SEPARATES OBSIDIAN ON THE HANGING WALL FROM TUFF ON THE FOOTWALL. BOTH THE FAULT ZONE AND THE FOOT WALL TUFF HAVE BEEN SILICIFIED AND LENTICULAR OPALITE ORE BODIES WHICH LOCALLY ATTAIN 8 FT. IN THICKNESS HAVE BEEN MINED ALONG THIS ZONE.

Comment (Deposit): LOCATED A MILE WEST OF THE GOVERNOR MINE FURNACE, DEVELOPMENT CONSISTS OF A 50 FT. INCLINED SHAFT AND A CONNECTING DRIFT APPROX. 150 FEET LONG. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 4 P.; 5 PERS COMM
