Comment (Deposit): THE TRIPOLI MINE CONSISTS OF 2 PATENTED CLAIMS, AND WAS DEVELOPED BY A 100' ADIT WITH A WINZE AT THE END EXTENDING DOWN 212 WITH 4 LEVELS OF DRIFTS; A SECOND WINZE WAS SUNK 75' BELOW THE 212' LEVEL & ANOTHER WINZE 100' EXTENDED BELOW THE BOTTOM OF THE 75' WINZE. TOTAL WORKINGS INCLUDE 2, 400' WITH A VERTICAL RANGE OF 387'. THE WINZES WERE SUNK ON A FISSURE ZONE THAT IS NEARLY VERTICAL CHIMNEYS OF HI GRADE SILVER-LEAD ORE OCCURRED AT OR NEAR INTERSECTIONS OF FISSURES; THE TRIPOLI MINERALS AN EARLY DISCOVERY, WITH THE A. J. RALSTON & CO OPERATING IT AND THE WEBFOOT PROPERTIES SUCCESSFULLY. THE ORE WAS SMELTED AT THE COMPANY OWNED SMELTER AT BULLION CITY, IN THE 1870'S. IN 1905 THE NEVADA BUNKER HILL MINING COMPANY CONSOLIDATED THIS AND AFTER PROPERTIES AND BEGAN PRODUCTION. THIS CONTINUED ON INTERMITTENTLY WITH PRODUCTION THROUGH WWI. ABOUT 1925 THE TRIPOLI LEASEING CO. OF ELKO INTERESTS CONTINUED WORK IN THE DAVIS TUNNEL, DEVELOPING 600' OF DRIFTS ON THE TRIPOLI VEIN, ALL IN ORE.
