Comment (Development): EQUIPMENT ON THE PROPERTY IN APRIL, 1972, INDICATED ORE WAS BEING PROCESSED. COMSTOCK-GOLD POINT MINES CO. SHIPPED 200 TONS ORE TO THE MCGILL SMELTER FROM (SOUTH WORKINGS) HEREIN 1940. CURRANT CREEK MINING CO. WAS SHIPPING ORE FROM HERE IN 1940 GOLD POINT CURRANT CREEK MINES CO. FORMED IN LATE 1940 AS A CONSOLIDATION OF THE COMSTOCK GOLD PINT AND THE CURRANT CREEK MINING CO., WHICH TOGETHER REPORTED 500 TONS ORE PRODUCED FROM BOTH WORKINGS.
