Satelite View

MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments

Comment (Workings): 1 ADIT AND 2 OLD SHACKS ON PROPERTY AS WELL AS SURFACE CUTS AND PITS ALONG STRIKE OF THE VEINS

Comment (Geology): MINERALIZATION OCCURS IN 2 QUARTZ VEINS. ONE VEIN IS FE-OXIDE STAINED QUARTZ WITH MASSIVE TO BLADED, FINE TO COARSE GRAINED WOLFRAMITE. THE OTHER IS MASSIVE QUARTZ WITH WOLFRAMITE AND SULFIDES PRESENT

Comment (Location): WEST FLANK OF SCHELL CREEK RANGE IN CAVE VALLEY

Comment (Deposit): WOLFRAMITE AND SOME SCHEELITE OCCUR AS SCATTERED SMALL CRYSTALS WITH LIMONITE AND MN OXIDES IN SEAMS AND VUGS OF 2 QUARTZ VEINS ABOUT 800 FT APART, 2-3 FT THICK, TRACEABLE IN SURFACE CUTS AND OUTCROPS FOR 300-500 FT ALONG STRIKE. ONE VEIN CONTAINS BASE METAL SULFIDES WITH THE WOLFRAMITE, BUT THE OTHER DOES NOT.

Comment (Deposit): Discovery Year: LATE 1920'S (?)
