Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. Comments
Comment (Geology): SLAVEN CHERT IS HIGHLY ALTERED AND INTRUDED BY SEVERAL DIFFERENT ROCK TYPES INCLUDING: RHYOLITE DIKES, BRECCIA PIPES (?) AND QUARTZ VEINS. OPEN PIT MUST BE VERY CLOSE TO TERTIARY GRANITIC CONTACT ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT OBSERVED IN THE PIT OR THE WALL ROCKS.
Comment (Location): 1 MILE WEST OF MT. TENABO
Comment (Development): GOLD QUARTZ MINE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO AN OPEN-PIT OPERATION WITH GOOD RDS AND LEACHING FACILITY. AN EXTENSIVE DRILLING OPERATION HAS BEEN DONE ON PROPERTY TO DEFINE THE ORE BODIES.
