Comment (Development): ORIGINALLY LOCATED FOR GOLD. HERROLD AND ASSOCIATES INSTALLED A SMALL RETORT IN 1928 AND PRODUCED A FLASK OF MERCURY. THE ONLY ACTIVITY IN 1943 WAS SOME ERRATIC DIAMOND-DRILLING; 1 FLASK OF HG IN 1928. RECENTLY DRILLED AND ROADS GRADED (1982).

Comment (Deposit): CINNABAR OCCURS IN THE BRECCIA VEIN IN FRACTURES AND SHEARS THAT CUT THE CHALCEDOWY. A SMALL AMOUNT OF STIBNITE OCCURS IN A BRECCIA ZONE IN THE SLOPE ABOVE THE MERCURY DEPOSIT

Comment (Workings): 60-FT INCLINED SHAFT WITH A 33-FT. DRIFT AT ITS BASE. ALSO, A TRENCH, 10-FT. ADIT, AND SEVERAL DIAMOND-DRILL HOLES

Comment (Geology): FAULT ZONE IN BLEACHED, PROPYLITIC ANDESITE, BRECCIATED-FRACTURED &CUT BY SILICA VEINS PYRITE, BRECCIATED ZONES FILLED WITH FE-MN OX STAINING, DRUSY QUARTZ.

Comment (Deposit): A SHORT TRENCH AND ADIT SW OF THE SHAFT EXPLORES A LOCALLY SILICIFIED RIB OF ANDESITE TUFF WHICH TRENDS N 65 W, DIPPING 70 NE, WHERE CINNABAR FILLS FRACTURES AND OPEN SPACES IN SILICIFIED ANDESITE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
