Comments

Comment (Deposit): QUARTZ-RICH SKARN AND GOSSAN LENS ALONG BEDDING PLANE IN HORNFELS. OUTCROP TO THE SW OF THE ADIT SHOWS SEVERAL 1-2 FT THICK BANDS OF GOSSANY SKARN IN HORNFELS OVER ABOUT 30 FT OF THICKNESS STAGER REPORTS A HORNBLENDE-ANDESITE DIKE AND APLITIC SILLS TO BE PRESENT WITH SCHEELITE OCCURRING ALONG JOINTS IN THE KAOLINIZED APLITE. SCHEELITE IS ALSO REPORTED TO BE PRESENT AS DISSEMINATIONS IN SHEARED, OXIDIZED HORNFELS AND BRECCIA. SOME ROCKS ON THE MAIN DUMP CONTAIN UP TO 30% PYRITE, ACCOUNTING FOR THE GOSSAN OUTCROPS.

Comment (Workings): 3 ADITS, SHALLOW SHAFT, CUTS, ORE BIN AT PORTAL

Comment (Geology): GRANO DIORITE OUTCROPS IN THE WASH SOUTH OF THE MINE AND MAY UNDERLIE THE MINE AREA.

Comment (Location): NEAR SE END OF THE EUGENE MOUNTAINS . INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)
