Comments

Comment (Deposit): SEEMINGLY A CONTACT METAMORPHIC ENVIRONMENT. CU OXIDE AND SULFIDE MINERALIZATION ASSOCIATED WITH QUARTZ VEINS AND A HORNFELSIC UNIT WHICH IN PART LOOKS LIKE A MAFIC INTRUSIVE ROCK. LOTS OF MEDIUM TO FINE-GRAINED GRANODIORITE IN CREEK BED, SHOT THROUGH WITH EPIDOTE VEINLETS AND PINK FELDSPAR IN VEINLETS AND ALSO DISSEMINATED THROUGHOUT THE ROCK. HORNBLENDE AND BIOTITE ARE ALTERED TO CHLORITE. SOME ROCK IN AREA APPEARS TO BE LIMESTONE. EPIDOTE IS ABUNDANT AS FRACTURE COATINGS IN THE HORNFELS. ALSO VUGGY, CRYSTALLINE QUARTZ ON DUMP, COATED WITH CU OXIDES-CONSIDERABLE CU OXIDES ON HIGH GRADE DUMP IN FRONT OF ADIT.

Comment (Location): ON NORTH SIDE OF JACKSON CREEK ABOUT 2 MILES ABOVE ITS MOUTH ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Development): CLAIMS STAKED APRIL 15, 1983. POSSIBLY SMALL PRODUCTION

Comment (Workings): REMAINS OF WOOD CABIN. BY CABIN ON WEST SIDE OF CREEK BED IS WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN OLD ADIT, NOW CAVED. MAY HAVE BEEN THE LARGER OF 2 ADITS. THIS ADIT TRENDS APPROX. N 35 W. SECOND ADIT WITH CREEK FROM CABIN APPROX 200-300 FT. IT IS ON S SIDE OF CREEK BED, OPEN, TRENDS N 55 W. MINOR PITS ON SLOPE ABOVE ADIT ANOTHER SET OF WORKINGS LIE TO THE EAST OF THESE APPROXIMATELY 1/8 MILE, CONSISTING OF AN ADIT AND A SMALL PIT. EXTENSIVE DUMP MATERIAL, ALL IN CREEK BOTTOM. WORKINGS MAY TOTAL A FEW HUNDRED FEET.
