Comment (Location): UTM IS TO CLAIM AREA. CLAIMS COVER A LARGE AREA IN VICINITY OF DEVANEY, SNOW SQUALL, AND STONEHOUSE CANYON MINE . INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)
Comment (Development): PROPERTY CONSISTS OF 15 MINING CLAIMS COVERING 300 ACRES, A COMBINATION OF 2 PROPERTIES, THE DOC AND LUCKY FOUR CLAIMS. MILL SITE IS LOCATED TO SERVE BOTH AN EQUAL DISTANCE. IT PERMITS ARE RECEIVED, A SMALL TEST OPERATION MAY BE CONDUCTED THIS SEASON (1984 REPORT). IN 1981, THE LOADING AND PRODUCTION AREA WAS ENLARGED. A 2-WEEK PROGRAM WITH ROTARY DRILLING WAS DONE ON THE PROPERTY FOR A TOTAL OF 1100 FT. INTERVALS. IN 1983, A SMALL TONNAGE MILLING TEST WAS SUCCESSFUL IN JULY. IN 1984, VICTOR WAS DOING PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY WORK ON THIS PROPERRY WHILE PERMITTING CONTINUES. SMALL-SCALE TEST MILLING COULD BEGIN THIS YEAR (1984). REFURBISHING OF THE CORONADO MINERALS MILL UNDER A RENEGOTIATED CONTRACT WAS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETE BY FALL OF 1984. MILL CAPACITY WOULD BE 125 ST/DAY.
Comment (Deposit): THE CONSULTING GEOLOGIST REPORTED THAT THE GEOLOGY IS VERY SIMILAR TO THAT OF THE DELAMAR AND ROCHESTER AREA OF BULK-TONNAGE LOW-GRADE SILVER FROM EPITHERMAL VEIN-TYPE DEPOSITS FOUND IN VOLCANIC RHYOLITE HOST OF TRIASSIC AND TERTIARY AGE. THE DEPOSITS ARE IN A VEIN, DIKE-LIKE STRUCTURE WHICH OUT CROPS ALONG A HILL-TOP SADDLE.
