Comment (Deposit): THIS RECORD HAS BEEN MERGED WITH RECORDS D001221 AND M060217, WHICH HAVE BEEN DELETED.
Comment (Deposit): THIS RECORD AND DELETED M060217 HAVE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, BUT THE SITE NAME AND OTHER INFORMATION IS VERY SIMILAR. M060217 STATED THAT "UTM LOCATION IS ESTIMATED, UNCERTAIN". M060217 GIVES ONLY JOHNSON AS A REFERENCE. JOHNSON, STAGER AND TINGLEY, AND UNPUBLISHED NBMG FIL SHOULD BE CHECKED TO VERIFY LOCATION. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT
Comment (Deposit): MONZONITE ENGULFS SEVERAL PENDANTS OF METAMORPHIC ROCKS (SLATE, SCHIST, TACTITE) WHICH STRIKE N70W, DIP 60-75 NE. EXPOSURES ARE POOR DUE TO SURFACE COVER. 3 SMALL PENDANTS ARE KNOWN. THE NORTHERN ONE IS ABOUT 13 FT WIDE AND CONSISTS OF BIOTITE SCHIST AND A BED OF TACTITE 4.5 FT WIDE CONTAINING SOME SCHEELITE. A SECOND PENDANT ABOUT 450 FT TO THE SOUTH IS 18 FT WIDE AND CONSISTS OF TACTITE INTERBEDDED WITH SCHIST. IT IS EXPOSED FOR A STRIKE LENGTH OF 50 FT BUT IS CUT BY GRANITE AT 2 PLACES. A THIRD PENDANT IS 13 FT WIDE AND IS APPROXIMATELY ON STRIKE WITH THE SECOND PENDANT BUT IS SEPARATED FROM IT BY 200 FT OF GRANITE. THE ORE EXPOSED IN THESE PENDANTS CONTAINS 0.5 TO 0.75 % WO3.
Comment (Workings): ADIT WITH 2 SHORT CROSSCUTS, INCLINED SHAFT ABOUT 35 FT DEEP, SEVERAL OPEN CUTS, PITS, AND TRENCHES.
Comment (Location): NEAR THE SUMMIT OF A SMALL HILL NEAR CREST OF LAVA BEDS MOUNTAINS. DELETED MRDS #M060217 GIVES THE FOLLOWING . INFO.: 40-35-19N;118-56-38W/ UTMS 4495000N; 335500E/ SEC.34, TOWNSHIP 32N RANGE 27E, "NEAR HEAD OF CENTRAL VALLEY IN LAVA BED MTNS." INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)
