Comments

Comment (Development): OLD SHAFT, RECENT BULLDOZER WORK. ACTIVE WITHIN THE PAST YEAR (1985)-PROSPECTED BY A WHOLE SERIES OF ROADS, OPENCUTS, AND DRILL SITES (AT LEAST 2 DOZEN) HAVE BEEN LAID OUT; PROSPECTED AREA EXTENDS FOR AT LEAST A MILE ALONG THE MOUNTAIN FRONT BUT IT APPEARS THAT NOT ALL THE DRILL SITES LAID OUT WERE DRILLED. SITES LAID OUT ON TOP OF ALL KNOBS AND WESTERN EXPOSURES OF KNOBS. AT LEAST 51 CLAIMS, NO PAPER FOUND.

Comment (Location): ON WEST SIDE OF BLUE MOUNTAIN. . INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Deposit): ALL WORKINGS ARE CONFINED TO AN APPARENTLY UP-FAULTED BLOCK OF HIGHLY SILICIFIED AND FE-STAINED LIMESTONE. THERE IS A SERIES OF APPROXIMATELY 6 SILICIFIED LIMESTONE KNOBS WHICH FORM A RIDGE AND FLAT AREA OUT FROM THE MAIN MOUNTAIN FRONT. THE LIMESTONE IS HIGHLY FRACTURED AND SILICIFIED. NUMEROUS QUARTZ VEINLETS AND CONSIDERABLE FE OXIDE PRESENT. FE-GOSSAN IS DEVELOPED IN A FEW PLACES. SOUTHERN PACIFIC CO. REPORTED THIS AREA AS "ALTERATION ZONE ASSOCIATED WITH SHEAR AND FAULT ZONES IN RHYOLITE INTRUSIVE BRECCIA", SHOWING LITTLE PROMISE, (1964).

Comment (Workings): OLD SHAFT; NEWER OPEN CUTS, ROADS, DRILL SITES.
