Comments
Comment (Deposit): SHALEY SEDIMENTS ARE BADLY BROKEN AND INTRUDED LOCALLY BY A RHYOLITE BRECCIA WHICH LOCALLY TRENDS N10W AND HAS MINOR CRYSTAL-RICH VEINS AND VEINLETS ASSOCIATED WITH IT. FROM A NE-TRENDING ADIT, THE WORKINGS HAVE STOPED THROUGH TO THE SURFACE ALONG THE STRIKE OF A VEIN, AT LEAST 4 TIMES OVER 300 FT. MUCH OF THE MATERIAL REMOVED FROM THESE WORKINGS ARE NOW ON THE HEAP LEACH PILE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CANYON.
Comment (Workings): 2 GENERATIONS OF WORKINGS, HEAP LEACH FACILITY AT MOUTH OF CANYON.
Comment (Location): IN THE TEN MILE HILLS. DESCRIPTION FITS THE SILVER CLOUD MINE (2 GENERATIONS OF WORKINGS) SMALL HEAP LEACH OPERATION, AU-AG, ETC. . INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)
Comment (Development): NEWER WORKINGS SUPERIMPOSED UPON OLDER WORKINGS. NO IMMEDIATE ACTIVITY AT MINE OR HEAP LEACH FACILITY AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN 1985. THIS DESCRIPTION FITS THAT OF THE SILVER CLOUD MINE, LISTED AS AN ACTIVE UNDERGROUND GOLD-SILVER MINE EMPLOYING 4-5 PERSONS IN 1980-1981, INCLUDING A HEAP-LEACH CYANIDIZATION OPERATION. APPARENTLY IDLE SINCE 1981. OLD LOCATION WAS OFF BY ONE TOWNSHIP (SEC.9, T37N, R36E).
