Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Deposit): LODE IS COMPOSED OF LAMINATED AND BLADED QUARTZ AND ADULARIA PSEUDO MORPHIC AFTER CALCITE. IT IS MORE OR LESS VUGGY WITH SOME VUGS AND MUCH QUARTZ STAINED WITH BLACK MN OXIDE WITH WHICH MUCH OF THE GOLD IS ASSOCIATED. AT THE 50-FT DEPTH, A CONSIDERABLE BODY OF ORE RAN $28/TON AND CONTAINED SOME WIRE SILVER, BUT AT GREATER DEPTH, ORE AVERAGED ONLY $5/TON. BOTH COUNTRY ROCK WALLS CONTAIN QUARTZ STRINGERS OR SO CALLED FEEDERS THAT NEARLY PARALLEL THE VEIN AND AT ABOUT 75 FT TO THE NORTH ON THE FOOTWALL SIDE OCCURS A SUBORDINATE BUT SIMILAR VEIN WHICH PROBABLY ALSO CONTAINS ORE.
Comment (Location): 4 MILES EAST OF SAND SPRINGS ON SOUTH SIDE OF PASS ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)
Comment (Development): A FEW TONS OF FAIR-GRADE ORE LAY ON DUMP IN 1913
Comment (Workings): 100-FT DEEP INCLINED SHAFT SUNK ON THE VEIN
