Comments

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1972)

Comment (Development): EXPLORED IN 1907-1908 ERA; STAKED BY ERICKSON'S GROUP IN 1979; NO ACTIVITY WHEN EXAMINED IN 1986

Comment (Deposit): WORKINGS FOLLOW A 5-FT THICK VEIN ON A N 35 E HEADING. THE INCLINE FOLLOWS THE VEIN ON A 30 NE DIP SLOPE THAT STEEPENS AT DEPTH. THE VEIN IS IN A FAULT THAT FOLLOWS THE CONTACT OF A HIGHLY ALTERED RHYOLITE AND TUFF OR ANDESITE (?) THE VEIN IS COMPOSED LARGELY OF ARGILLICALLY ALTERED VOLCANIC RUBBLE. THE SAMPLE WAS SELECTED FROM THE PUMPS OF HIGHLY OXIDIZED MATERIAL AND CHIPPED FROM THE VEIN.

Comment (Workings): AN ADIT ADJACENT TO AN INCLINED SHAFT. THERE WAS ALSO A BLACKSMITH'S HEARTH AND POSSIBLE LIVING SPACE WITHIN THE ADIT
