Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: SLATE FOOT WALL, META-ANDESITE HANGING WALL; DIORITE PORPHYRY ABOUT 150 FT. THICK STRIKING W AND DIPPING 40 - 60 N CUTS BOTH HOST ROCKS CAUSING SLATE TO FOLD. BESIDE OCCURING IN QUARTZ LENSES, LARGE INDIVIDUAL GOLD PIECES FOUND IN POCKETS, COMPOSED OF CALCITE; SMALL SCATTERED CUBES OF PYRITE ONLY INDICATION OF HYDROTHERMAL ALTERATION.
