Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: ORE OCCURS IN BLOCK OF MASSIVE MANGANIFEROUS CHERT APPROXIMATELY 100 FT. IN DIAMETER. CHERT PARTLY RECRYSTALLIZED TO QUARTZ, APPEARS TO BE HYDROTHERMALLY ALTERED. MAIN ORE ZONE IS 50 FT. LONG, 10 FT. WIDE, STRIKING N.W., WITH UNCERTAIN DIP, PERHAPS 70 N.E. OXIDES AT SURFACE GIVE WAY TO PRIMARY MANGANESE SILICATE, PROBABLY BEMENTITE, WITHIN 5 FT. OF SURFACE.
