Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: THE JUMPER MINE WORKED ALONG A DIKE, INTRUDED BETWEEN AMPHIBOLITE SCHIST WALLS WHERE SMALL VEINS AND QUARTZ STRINGERS CUT THE 5 TO 50 FT. THICK SCHISTOSE ZONE. THIS MINE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MINES ON THE MOTHER LODE, AT THIS LOCALITY, IN THAT NO CONTINUOUS ORE SHOOTS OCCUR. THE FOOTWALL OF THE VEIN IS A HARD ALTERED DIORITE AND SERPENTINE WITH A DIORITE AND DIABASE HANGING WALL.
Comment (Deposit): THIS GROUP OF CLAIMS INCLUDED JUMPER, NEW ERA, AND GOLDEN RULE MINES.
Comment (Deposit): POCKET GOLD WAS COMMON HERE.
Comment (Workings): 3 INCLINED SHAFTS; NEWS ERA 1400 FT, GOLDEN RULE 500 FT., WEST VEIN SHAFT 200 FT. WINZE AT 1400 FT. LEVEL ON NEW ERA, 400 FT.; WINZE AT 493 FT. LEVEL OF GOLDEN RULE, 800 FT. ON 70 DEGREE INCLINE.
