Comment (Workings): MINE OPENED THROUGH 2 SHAFTS 1,000 FT. APART. NORTH SHAFT 700 FT. WITH WINZE TO 1850 FT. LEVEL; THE SOUTH SHAFT HAS LEVELS AT 150 FT. INTERVALS. LATEST DEVELOPMENT CONSISTS OF DRILLING AND DRIFTING.

Comment (Geology): HOST ROCKS INCLUDE UNNAMED SERPENTINE, COSUMNES FM SLATE, AND LOGTOWN RIDGE FM SERICITE AND CHLORITE SCHISTS. ; GEOL.DESC: SERPENTINE FOOTWALL, SCHIST AND SLATE ON HANGING WALL. INITIALLY HIGH-GRADE ORE EXTRACTED FROM NARROW QUARTZ VEINS IN SERPENTINE; LATER ORE FROM QUARTZ STRINGERS IN MINERALIZED SCHIST WHICH WAS LOW-GRADE.

Comment (Deposit): THIS GROUP OF CLAIMS INCLUDES MC CANN, MOONEY, PACIFIC, VULTURE, TRIO, AND SOBRANTE. THESE EXTEND FOR A TOTAL DISTANCE OF NEARLY 1 MILE. DEVELOPMENT BEGAN IN 1850 AND WAS WORKED INTERMITTANTLY UNTIL THE 1940 'S. SEVERAL ORE SHOOTS UP TO 200 FT IN LENGTH HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED OVER THE YEARS.
