Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. Comments
Comment (Deposit): MINERALIZED ZONE WIDTH SLIGHTLY LESS THAN WIDTH OF DRIFT. VEIN COINCIDES WITH THE TREND OF THE ALBANY VEIN
Comment (Geology): "The vein coincides with the trend of the Albany vein." (Bull. 50, p. 39)
Comment (Deposit): VEIN CONTAINS NATIVE COPPER, cuprite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, GOLD & SILVER.
Comment (Workings): In 1900, a 954-foot drift was driven off a 65-foot shaft located on a west-northwest-striking vein. (Bull. 50, p. 39)
Comment (Analytical Data): "The vein reportedly assayed 3 to 28% copper, a trace to 2.56 oz per ton of gold, and a trace to 2 oz of silver per ton. cobalt and chormioum were also reported." (Bull. 50, p. 39).
