About the MRDS Data:
All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Explored by two short adits and surface workings. Grab samples assayed as high as: >10,000 ppm Sb, 66 ppm Au, 15 ppm Ag (MacKevett, 1976).
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Veins up to 30 cm thick in shear zone cutting hornfelsed Cretaceous sedimentary rocks near Tertiary granodiorite pluton. Veins contain gold, stibnite, realgar, pyrite and minor to trace chalcopyrite. A few veins in granodiorite contain masses of stibnite more than 1 m long and as much as 12 cm wide.
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = MacKevett and Smith, 1968
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Lode: vein, shear zone.
Comment (Commodity): Ore Material = Gold (native)
