Comments

Comment (Production): PRODUCTION FIGURES ARE NOT AVAILABLE

Comment (Workings): ONE LARGE PIT OF 2000 X 1400 X 500 FT.; FIVE SMALL PITS OF 150 X 120 X 100 FT., 150 X120 X 20 FT., 120 X 60 X 30 FT., 150 X 50 X 40 FT., 300 X60 X60 FT.; TWO ADITS (35 DEG.) CAVED AND INACCESSIBLE.

Comment (Deposit): THE ORE IS SOFT AND PULVERIZED, LIGHT YELLOWISH, OR GREYISH IN COLOUR. GOLD IS NOT VISIBLE IN THE ORES, AND IS CONCENTRATED ONLY IN THE CARBON RICH PORTIONS OF THE ALTERED ZONES. THE ORE IS FORMED BY THE IMPREGNATION AND REPLACEMENT OF THE WALLROCKS; AND THE FISSURE FILLINGS ARE NEGLIGIBLE. NEVERTHELESS THESE FISSURES WERE OF FUNDAMENTAL IMPORTANCE IN LOCALIZING THE DEPOSITS ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 3 FIELD OBSERV

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1977)

Comment (Deposit): MINERALIZATION IS LOCALIZED IN ALTERED ZONES IN WALLROCKS. UNALTERED ROCKS ARE BARREN. THE OXIDIZED ORE IS LIGHT COLOURED AND MORE FN'ABLE THAN UNOXIDIZED ORE. IT LACKS SULFIDES AND CONTAINS SULFATES INCLUDING GYPSUM, SCORODITE AND MELANTERITE

Comment (Geology): WALLROCKS ARE HIGHLY SHATTERED, FOLDED AND CRUMPLED. SHALES ARE BROWN TO BUFF, FN'ABLE AND PULVERIZED, SERICITIC, CALCAREOUS, CARBONACEOUS, AND KAOLIMITIC. LIMESTONES ARE JOINTED, BRECCIATED, DARK GRAY TO BLACK, CHERTY, DOLOMITIC, SILICIFIED AND IMPREGNATED WITH VEINS OF CALCITE AND QUARTZ. ORE MINERALS ARE INTIMATELY ASSOCIATED WITH VEINS OF JASPEROID AND QUARTZ. EFFECTS ARE LIMONITIZATION ARE VERY SIGNIFICANT ON WALLROCKS
