Comment (Deposit): THIS RECORD CONTAINS DATA FROM RECORD NUMBER D009817 OF RONALD G. WORL WHICH HAS BEEN DELETED FROM MRDS. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT
Comment (Deposit): A NEARLY VERTICAL FRACTURE STRIKES N15W AND CUTS THROUGH GRANITE, SLATE, QUARTZITE, AND LIMESTONE. THE FRACTURE IS ABOUT 4 FT WIDE IN THE GRANITE, BUT NARROW AND UNMINERALIZED IN THE OVERLYING SEDIMENTARY ROCKS. FLUORSPAR OCCURS IN THE FRACTURE AS FISSURE FILLING ASSOCIATED WITH QUARTZ, CALCITE, AND A MINOR AMOUNT OF GALENA. THREE PATENTED CLAIMS MINERAL SURVEY NUMBER 1920 COVERING 30.993 ACRES.
Comment (Workings): WORKINGS REPORTED IN 1975 TO CONSIST OF A 100 FT ADIT, A 25 FT LONG OPEN CUT, A SHALLOW WINZE, AND A RAISE.
Comment (Commodity): ANALYTICAL DATA FROM WILLIAMS, 1966, P. 10.
Comment (Location): THE DEPOSIT IS ON THE NEARLY VERTICAL WEST ESCARPMENT OF THE SANDIA MOUNTAINS. ACCURATE LOCATION IS FOR THE ADIT OF THE LA LUZ MINE AS SHOWN ON THE SANDIA CREST TOPOGRAPHIC QUADRANGLE. CADASTRAL GRID PROJECTED. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1975)
