GRAVITY CONCENTRATION COMPLEMENTED BY FLOTATION GIVES CONCENTRATE MEETING METALLURGICAL-GRADE SPECIFICATIONS BUT MN RECOVERY IS LOW. LEACHING WITH SULFUR DIOXIDE YIELDS GOOD MN RECOVERY.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: MOST IMPORTANT MN DEPOSITS ARE ALONG FRACTURE ZONE IN MESCAL LIMESTONE AND QUARTZITE. SOME MN FOUND IN FANGLOMERATES WHICH OVERLIE OLDER SEDIMENTARY ROCKS. MOST MINERALIZED ZONES FOLLOW BEDDING PLANES, WHICH STRIKE N 20 TO 45 W DIP 25 TO 45 NE.
