All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not been verified for accuracy. It should be assumed that all mines are on private property.
Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = Zone discovered in 1990 by F.H. Wilson and G.D. DuBois during USGS reconnaissance field work. Sampling conducted in 1990, 1991, and 1992 indicates that a number of the veins are gold-bearing, having assay values up to 42 ppb Au and 1.9 ppm Ag.
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Well-developed, vertically oriented reticulated quartz vein system cutting mildly altered volcanic flows, rubble, breccia, and tuffaceous breccia. Zone extends more than 1 km across strike, veins are concentrated at northern end of zone. Sulfides are generally not apparent, though some areas have structures (vugs) indicating the removal of pyrite by weathering.
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = F.H. Wilson, unpublished data, 1992
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Epithermal gold vein
Comment (Deposit): Other Comments = No color anomaly; this occurrence does not have an unusual appearance with respect to the local country rock.
