Comment (Deposit): DEPOSIT IS NOTED FOR THE OCCURRENCE OF ROSCOELITE, A VANADIUM MICA. ROSCOELITE IS A VERY RARE MINERAL FOUND IN FEW OTHER PLACES IN THE U.S. WORKINGS MAY BE THE SHAFT AND ADIT SHOWN IN THE SE1/4 OF THE SECTION ON USGS QUAD. COLOMA, CALIF., 1950. HOLDINGS OF 50 ACRES.
Comment (Workings): A 500-FT. DRIFT ADIT AND SEVERAL SHALLOW SHAFTS.
Comment (Production): ORIGINALLY WORKED DURING 1860'S BY STUCKSLAGER FAMILY. PURCHASED DURING 1880'S BY MCKENNEY FAMILY WHO HAVE OPERATED IT INTERMITTENTLY EVER SINCE. OPERATED 1935-1942 BY D. J. MCKENNEY AND IN 1955 E. J. MCKENNEY JR. WAS SINKING A SHAFT ON THE HILL ABOVE THE ADIT PORTAL.
