Comment (Location): ACCURATE LOCATION IS FOR THE MINE IN SECTION 2 AS SHOWN ON THE SANDIA PARK TOPOGRAPHIC QUADRANGLE. THE DEPOSIT LIES NEAR THE CREST OF A SHARP PEAK WHOSE ALTITUDE IS 7600 FT, ABOUT 600 FT ABOVE THE FLOOR OF A CANYON TRENDING NORTHWARD TOWARD LA MADERA. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1975)

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS REPORTED IN 1966 TO CONSIST OF 2 SHORT ADITS, 3 SHALLOW SHAFTS AND 3 SMALL PITS. AN OLD ADIT, BELIEVED TO DATE FROM WORLD WAR ONE, PENETRATES 122 FT INTO THE NORTH HILLSIDE. ABOUT 75 FT ABOVE AND 100 FT SOUTH FROM THE PORTAL OF THE OLD ADIT, A 75 FT LONG ADIT INTERSECTS THE BOTTOM OF A 30 FT SHAFT. TWO OTHER SHAFTS, 20 AND 50 FEET DEEP, AND 3 PITS UP TO 15 FT IN DEPTH ARE FOUND ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE SHARP PEAK.

Comment (Deposit): DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF TWO PARALLEL VEINS STRIKING N 05E AND A THIRD VEIN STRIKING N 35 W. VEINS ARE UP TO 4 FT. THICK AND EXPOSED AT OUTCROP FOR A MAXIMUM LENGTH OF 40 FT... LIGHT GREEN, WELL CRYSTALLIZED FLUORITE AND DRUSY FLUORITE COATING GRANITE FRAGMENTS OCCUR WITH GALENA AND BARITE. THREE UNPATENTED CLAIMS IN THE 1960'S.
