Comments
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: MANGANIFEROUS CHERT; STRIKES N 30DEG. W & DIPS 30DEG. NE. INDIVIDUAL SMALL SPECIMENS MIGHT RUN 45% MANGANESE, BUT ANY QUANTITY OF THIS MATERIAL IS DOUBTFUL. MANGANESE ORE OCCURS AS NARROW POCKETS IN MASSIVE RED TO YELLOW-BROWN CHERT. POCKETS ARE GENERALLY A FRACTION OF AN INCH UP TO A FEW INCHES THICK. THE ORE CONSISTS OF BLACK OXIDES, MAINLY PSILOMELANE, AND SOME NEOTOCITE (?).
Comment (Production): NO PRODUCTION RECORD.
Comment (Workings): OPEN CUT ABOUT 30' LONG. MANGANESE WOULD VERY LIKELY BE PRESENT IN BOTH SECS. 25 AND 26.
Comment (Deposit): PROSPECTS SYMBOLS IN NW1/4 AND SW1/4 SEC. 25; PROSPECT SYMBOL IN SE1/4 SEC. 26
