Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: ORE LIES IN THIN-BEDDED PURPLE CHERT, WHICH IS BOUNDED ON THE S. AND E. BY GREENSTONE. CHERT IS STAINED WITH THIN FILMS OF MANGANESE, AND IN A FEW PLACES CONTAINS LOCAL SEGREGATIONS OF MANGANIFEROUS IRON ORE, UP TO 10 FT. WIDE AND 20 FT. LONG. MOST OF ORE IS ON ARROWHEAD CLAIM. SERPENTINE AND GREENSTONE OCCUPY MOST OF BLACK SUSAN CLAIM.
