Comment (Location): NEAR CENTER SECTION 9 , IN SE 1/4 SEC. 9 ON TOPO MAP
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: AT LEAST 4 ORE BODIES OCCUR IN A CHERT BELT ASSOCIATED WITH GREENSTONE. LENGTH OF ORE BODIES IS 20 , 80 , 110 AND 30 FT. ORE IS EXPOSED OVER INTERVALS FOR 400 FT. AND VARIES IN WIDTH FROM 2 TO 10 FT. CHERT STRIKES N. W. AND DIPS NEARLY VERTICAL. DEPOSIT APPEARS DISCONTINUOUS, FOR GREENSTONE IS FOUND BETWEEN MANGANESE EXPOSURES. ORE CONSISTS OF RHODONITE, RHODOCHROSITE, BEMENTITE AND MANGANIFEROUS CHERT. GREENSTONE APPEARS TO CUT OFF CHERT CONTAINING MANGANESE, AND ORE MAY BE PART OF ROOF PENDANT IN GREENSTONE.
