Comment (Geology): THE VEINS ARE HIGHLY OXIDIZED, FERRIC-IRON STAINED. THE WORKINGS ARE AT THE HEAD OF A NARROW STEEP CANYON AND THE SAMPLE WAS TAKEN FROM WHAT APPEARS TO BE A STOCKPILE OF ORES THAT WAS BEING TRANSPORTED BY FOOT SINCE THERE WERE NO ROADS.
