Comments

Comment (Development): NO ACTIVITY AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN 1983

Comment (Deposit): WORKINGS EXPLORE FAULT(?) CONTACT BETWEEN PIOCHE SHALE AND DAVIDSON FORMATION. WORKINGS ARE IN SHATTERED, ALTERED, BLEACHED MEDIUM GREY LIMESTONE WITH CRYSTALLINE CALCITE COATING FRACTURES AND CEMENTING BRECCIA. ABUNDANT LIMONITE STAINS FROM OXIDIZED PYRITE GRAINS IN VEINS. PIT EXPOSES A N20W VERTICAL 6 INCH- WIDE SHEAR ZONE WHERE ROCKS ARE EXTENSIVELY CRUSHED AND DUMP ROCK SHOWS SLICKENSIDES. THE LIMESTONE IS PARTIALLY SILICIFIED IN VICINITY OF SHEAR AND THE WEIGHT OF THE ROCKS SUGGESTS THAT BARITE OR FINELY DISSEMINATED GALENA IS INTERGROWN WITH THE CALCITE.

Comment (Workings): SHALLOW EXPLORATORY PROSPECT PITS
