Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: ORE IS A BED OR SERIES OF LENSES ENCLOSED IN THICK BEDDED RED CHERT, AND INTERCALATED WITH GREEN METATUFF AND METAVOLCANICS. THE CHERT OF THE AMADOR GROUP IS UNDERLAIN BY GREENSTONE OR PILLOW BASALT. ORE CONSISTS OF BOTRYOIDAL PSILOMELANE AND SOOTY PYROLUSITE. BEDS ARE CUT BY SMALL TRANSVERSE FAULTS.
Comment (Deposit): ORE ZONE AVERAGES ABOUT 6 FT. WIDTH. INDIVIDUAL LENSES CONTAIN ORE BETWEEN 45 AND 50 PERCENT MN. ONE ORE BODY IS 35 FT. LONG. THERE IS A SECOND ORE ZONE 50 TO 100 FT. ABOVE THE QUARRY.
Comment (Production): NO RECORD OF PRODUCTION AND THE PROPERTY IS IDLE. TUNNEL ON TOPO MAP MAY BE THIS PROSPECT.
