Comment (Development): FIRST GROUND STAKED IN 1907. SPORADIC SMALL-SCALE MINING REPORTED. DRIFT MINING 1919-21. USBM DRILLED PROSPECT CHURN-DRILL HOLES IN 1956.

Comment (Deposit): GOLD AND CASSITERITE IN SMALL, DISCONTINUOUS, NOT PARTICULARLY RICH CONCENTRATIONS IN AS MUCH AS 40 FT OF GRAVEL; TOTAL DEPTH TO BEDROCK 24-85 FT. GOLD FOUND FURTHER UPSTREAM THAN CASSITERITE.

Comment (Geology): MAJOR.UNITS: BEDROCK IS PHYLLITE, GRAYWACKE, SANDSTONE, AND QUARTZITE.
