Comments
Comment (Reference): Primary Reference = Chapin, 1914 (B 592, p. 352-353)
Comment (Workings): Workings / Exploration = By 1914, two shafts were sunk to a depth of 40 and 45 feet, and an incline was driven along a narrow stringer for 100 feet (Chapin, 1914 [B 592, p. 352-353]).
Comment (Deposit): Model Name = Schist-hosted gold-quartz vein
Comment (Geology): Geologic Description = Gold occurs in a relatively sulfide-free quartz vein that trends northwest and dips steeply northeast (Smith, 1913 [B 525, p. 209]). By 1914, two shafts were sunk to a depth of 40 and 45 feet, and an incline was driven along a narrow stringer for 100 feet. Four tons of ore were mined and milled from these workings (Chapin, 1914 [B 592, p. 352-353]), but there is no record of recent activities.
Comment (Production): Production Notes = Four tons of ore were mined and milled from these workings (Chapin, 1914 [B 592-J, p. 352-353]) but there is no record of recent activities.
Comment (Exploration): Status = Inactive
