Comment (Deposit): IRREGULAR BODY OF QUARTZ 4-13 FT. WIDE, AVERAGE 10 FT. THICK, IN SLATE, CONTAINS PYRITE AND ARSENOPYRITE. QUARTZ BODY IS NEARLY VERTICAL AND HAS EXTREMELY CURVED WALLS.

Comment (Workings): 3 DRIFT TUNNELS, LOWEST 160 FT. LONG TRENDING S 70 DEGREES E. UPPER TUNNEL IS 80 FT. ABOVE LOWER. 10 STAMP MILL AND TRAMWAY BUILT, IN RUINS BY 1895.

Comment (Deposit): APPARENTLY WAS FIRST LODE MINE IN SE ALASKA. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT

Comment (Location): USGS MF-464, LOC. 4 LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).

Comment (Development): LOCATED 1872, 10 STAMP MILL BUILT IN 1879, 3 DRIFT TUNNELS DRIVEN, TRAMWAYS BUILT. SOME PRODUCTION, PROBABLY IN 1870'S AND 1880'S. MILL AND TRAMWAYS IN RUINS BY 1895.
