Comment (Location): USGS MF-413, LOC. 48. MINE ON NORTH SIDE OF FAIRBANKS CR. ONE HALF TO ONE MILE WEST OF TOO MUCH GOLD CREEK, AT AN ELEVATION OF 1,800 FT. LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 6-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH BLM 1:2,500,000 SCALE OWNERSHIP STATUS MAP (1991).

Comment (Development): MINE WORKED 1912-18 AND POSSIBLY (THROUGH GILMORE TUNNEL) AFTER 1931. STAKED IN 1910.

Comment (Deposit): MIZPAH LODE IS FROM 3 IN. TO 3 FT. THICK, STRIKES E TO S 70 E AND DIPS ABOUT 65 SW, AND CARRIES GOLD, SCHEELITE, AND STIBNITE; IN FAULTED ZONE GOLD QUARTZ REPLACED BY EARTHY WAD AND OXIDIZED SILVER-LEAD ORE. HORSES ARE PRESENT IN SEVERAL PLACES. STIBNITE PRESENT IN SOME PARTS OF VEIN; GOLD CONTENT GREATER WHERE STIBNITE IS PRESENT. SECOND GENERATION GOLD QUARTZ CUTS BULL QUARTZ. IN ADJACENT BLACK JOE LODE A GOLD-TUNGSTEN VEIN CUTS QUARTZITE SCHIST; VEIN STRIKES N 20 W, DIPS 18 SW, AND CUTS THE CLEAVAGE OF SCHIST THAT STRIKES N 80 W AND DIPS ABOUT 80 S. GOLD AND SCHEELITE OCCUR IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE VEIN.

Comment (Workings): SEVERAL HUNDRED FEET OF UNDERGROUND WORKINGS.

Comment (Geology): MIZPAH VEIN AVERAGES 12 INCHES IN THICKNESS; A LITTLE GOLD IS PRESENT IN GOUGE ALONG WALLS.
