UPPER OXIDISED PART OF THE VEIN HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO A SPONGY, RUST COLORED, EARTHY ROCK CONSISTING CHIEFLY OF YELLOW IRON OXIDES INTERMIXED WITH QUARTZ STRINGERS. THE VEIN SYSTEM LIES ALONG THE CONTACT OF THE AMADOR GROUP AND MARIPOSA FORMATION.
