Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: 2ND VEIN, NW STRIKE 65 NE DIP SEPERATE FROM MAIN VEIN BY 200 FT OF SLATE AND QUARTZ-MICA-GRAPHITE PHYLLITE AND SCHIST. VEIN MATTER FRACTURED QUARTZ AND FRACTURED WALL ROCKS. MAIN VEIN 2 - 4 FT THICK.

Comment (Deposit): Discovery Year: 1860'S

Comment (Production): THROUGH FIRST YEARS OF OPERATION MINE WAS REPORTED TO BE FABULOUSLY RICH; SOME ORE TAKEN OUT IN 1878. CONSIDERABLE MINING DONE AFTER 1880 BUT RESULTS NOT RECORDED. SOME EXPLORATION AND REHABILITATION WORK DONE IN 1930'S BUT NO RECENT WORK HAS BEEN DONE. MINE IS NOW WATERED AND PARTLY CAVED.

Comment (Workings): MAIN VEIN DEVELOPED BY AN INCLINED SHAFT SUNK ON THE VEIN OVER 300 FT. DEEP WITH 2 LEVELS. WEST VEIN SUPERFICIALLY DEVELOPED BY SHALLOW SHAFTS.
