Comment (Deposit): IRREGULAR REPLACEMENT OF LIMESTONE NEAR CONTACT BETWEEN METAMORPHIC ROOF PENDANT AND QUARTZ DIORITE. THIS ZONE IS BOUNDED ON THE SE BY A FINE-GRAINED PHASE OF THE RHYOLITE DIKE 1 - 2 FT. WIDE AND ON THE NW BY A PALE TACTITE BODY OF UNDETERMINED THICKNESS.
Comment (Workings): 400 - 500 FT. OF HORIZONTAL WORKINGS ACCESSIBLE BY THREE ADITS SOME ORE MAY HAVE BEEN MINED FROM A VERTICAL SHAFT OF UNDETERMINED DEPTH AT PORTAL OF ONE OF THE ADITS
Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: THE METAMORPHIC ROOF PENDANT STRIKES N 30 E IS SEVERAL MILES LONG AND AVG. 1 MILE IN WIDTH. SOUTH END OF MINE IS A RHYOLITE PORPHYRY DIKE, A FEW TENS OF FEET WIDE, WHICH HAS INTRUDED THE METASEDIMENTARY ROCKS ALONG A ZONE PARALLEL TO AND SEVERAL FEET SE OF NW EDGE OF PENDANT.
