MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Deposit): VEIN, ORE SHOOT
Comment (Production): INTERMITTENT PRODUCTION SINCE 1860. ABOUT $105/FT. PRODUCTION RATIO.
Comment (Workings): SEVERAL ADITS COVERING 1500 FT. OF MAIN VEIN. 5000 - 6000 FT. DRIFTS, 2000 FT. RAISES & WINZES.
Comment (Geology): MAIN VEIN ENTIRELY WITHIN GABBRO - MAY BE CONTINUATION OF IRELAN FISSURE. REVERSE FAULT ALONG VEIN, SINCE SERPENTINE FORMS HANGING WALL AT E END OF WORKINGS. ALONG STRIKE, VEIN PINCHES OUT AGAINST SERPENTINE, BREAKING INTO IRREGULAR STRINGERS. ADJOINING SERPENTINE IS ALTERED NEAR SURFACE DUE TO OXIDATION OF FE-BEARING CARBONATE. TWO SMALLER VEINS, ONE FOLLOWING SERPENTINE CONTACT. EVIDENCE OF SUCCESSIVE THRUSTS, MORE INTENSE IN SERPENTINE. NEAR SERPENTINE CONTACT VEIN IS CUT BY A NUMBER OF PARALLEL SML FAULTS, W PRINCIPAL MOVEMENT CLEARLY POST MINERAL. EVIDENCE, HOWEVER, THAT FISSURES FORMED PRIOR TO MAIN GOLD PHASE OF MINERALIZATION, SINCE OLDER QTZ. IS CROSSCUT BY ORE VEINS.
Comment (Commodity): MOST PRODUCTION FROM SML ORE SHOOT IN E PART OF MAIN VEIN NEAR SERPENTINE CONTACT. SMALL VEIN 130 FT. S OF MAIN VEIN SAID TO YIELD FINE GOLD IN THE PAN.
Comment (Location): UTM EST. W 1/2
