Ore: Pyrrhotite
Ore: Marcasite
Gangue: Quartz

Comments

Comment (Deposit): SEVERAL VEINS, AVG. 2 FT. IN THICKNESS. HEAVILY MINERALIZED WITH MASSIVE SULFIDES AND SUBORDINATE COARSELY GRANULAR, GLASSY QUARTZ. PYRRHOTITE AND PYRITE IMPREGNATE WALL ROCK FOR SEVERAL INCHES FROM VEIN. MOST SULFIDES OCCUR OF SURFACE. APPARENTLY, SOME SILVER-BEARING VEINS OCCUR ON OR NEAR MAIN DEPOSIT.

Comment (Location): UTM ACC. LAND UNSURVEYED Looks like typo in Latitude. Values changed to match DEP_ID 10139400.

Comment (Workings): 300 FT. OF WORKINGS

Comment (Geology): VEINLETS OF SIDERITE CUT MARCASITE AND CHALCOPYRITE. MARCASITE REPLACES PYRRHOTITE ALONG CLEAVAGE PLANES. ORDER OF MINERAL DEPOSITION WAS POSTULATED AS FOLLOWS: PYRITE, QUARTZ, PYRRHOTITE, CHALCOPYRITE, MARCASITE AND SIDERITE OVERLAPPING WITH MARCASITE AND CHALCOPYRITE. DETAILED PETROGRAPHIC DESCRIPTIONS OF SULFIDES IN SAMPSON (1932).
