Comment (Workings): 1903 NUMBER OF OPEN CUTS AND SHORT ADITS WERE DUG ON 11 CLAIMS. U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY CONDUCTED A MAGNETOMETER SURVEY OF AN AREA NEAR SEC. 5, 6, 7, AND 8; SOME BULLDOZER CUTS.
Comment (Reserve-Resource): SECOND MAGNETOMETER SURVEY IN 1961 OR 1962 REVEALED A THIRD AREA OF POTENTIAL ORE, WEST OF OPEN PIT. ASSAYS FROM THREE AREAS AVERAGED .001% SULFUR, SLIGHTLY MORE P2O5 AND .02% TIO2. ESTIMATIONS RANGED FROM 260,000 TONS PER 100 FT. TO A "FEW" HUNDRED THOUSAND TONS.
Comment (Location): UTM EST. LAND STATUS VALUE CALCULATED 7-94 USING GIS OVERLAY ANALYSIS WITH USFS LAND OWNERSHIP BOUNDARIES, 1:126,720 SCALE.
Comment (Deposit): VARIED LENGTHS AND WIDTHS. POOR EXPOSURES AND RELATIVELY WEAK MAGNETIC ANOMALIES INDICATE TWO PRINCIPAL AREAS OF IRON MINERALIZATION ABOUT 1200 FT. APART IN NE 1/4 SEC. 7 AND NW 1/4 SEC. 8, AT 1700 AND 1300 FT. ELEVATIONS.
Comment (Geology): PROPERTY UNDER LAIN BY MCCLOUD LIMESTONE AND TUFFACEOUS SEDIMENTS AND BASALTIC LAND ANDESITIC FLOWS OF THE NOSONI FORMATION. THE TWO UNITS ARE SEPERATED BY A FAULT AND AN IRREGULARLY SHAPED INTRUSIVE MAFIC QTZ-DIORITE. THE NOSONI METASEDIMENTS GENERALLY DIP 30 TO 60 NE, ONE EXPOSURE OF LIMESTONE DIPS 35SE.
