Comments

Comment (Location): ABOUT 0.8 MILES NW OF TUNGSTEN QUEEN MINE. TONY PROSPECT IS AT THE SW END OF THE PROPERTY.

Comment (Development): OPERATED IN 1940-41 BY THE NEW DEAL LEASING CO., IN 1941 BY THE SCHEELITE LEASING CO., AND IN 1942 BY THE VIRDOT DEVELOPMENT CO. THE TONY PROSPECT WAS OPERATED BY TUNGSTEN METAL CORP IN 1940-1941. A LITTLE ORE WAS MINED IN 1956-1957.

Comment (Deposit): SCHEELITE OCCURS FINELY DISSEMINATED IN THE QUARTZ VEINS AND SPARSELY IN ADJACENT WALLROCK. TONY VEIN IS 200 FT LONG IN OUTCROP WITH VERY FINE-GRAINED SCHEELITE. TONY PROSPECT IS A SHEAR ZONE FILLED WITH BRECCIA, GOUGE, QUARTZ, AND CALCITE VEINLETS. TONY VEIN IS 1.67 FT WIDE.

Comment (Workings): 2 ADITS AND SEVERAL OPEN CUTS AT THE HILLTOP MINE; SHORT ADIT WITH RAISE TO SURFACE AND SEVERAL SURFACE PITS AT TONY PROSPECT; STOPES.

Comment (Geology): THE SCHEELITE OCCURS MAINLY IN COARSE CRYSTAL AGGREGATES OR IN VEINLETS IN QUARTZ. ALONG FAULTS, COMMONLY ALONG THE FOOT WALL SIDE OF THE VEIN
